LEXINGTON, Ky. – After beginning the Southeastern Conference slate with a victory over Auburn Friday night, the Kentucky volleyball team returns to action Sunday when it plays host to Georgia at 2 p.m. ET. The match will air live on CSS and ESPN3.com with Justin Cazana and Missy Whittemore on the call.

Kentucky (10-2, 1-0 SEC) earned a three-set victory over visiting Auburn Friday night behind the play of junior Ashley Frazier. The Oregon, Ohio, native tossed down a team-high 10 kills and added a season-best five digs. She also posted a squad-high three blocks and a trio of service aces.
With the win in the conference lid-lifter, Kentucky now owns a 5-2 mark in league play to begin the season under coach Craig Skinner. Kentucky is 23-9 all-time in league openers.
Senior Gretchen Gieslerhas led a revived defensive effort for the Blue and White. Giesler averages 1.11 blocks per set which ranks fourth among all SEC players. UK ranks fourth in the conference with just over 2.50 blocks per stanza.
Georgia dropped its SEC opener to Tennessee Friday night and enters the matchup with a 4-7 overall record. The Bulldogs are led by Brittany Northcutt who paces the squad with 3.13 kills per set.
UK leads the all-time series with Georgia by a 32-24 margin. Kentucky is a perfect 12-0 against the Bulldogs under Skinner’s direction.

Kentucky’s Memorial Coliseum will play host to the NCAA Regionals Dec. 9-10. UK is one of four sites selected for Sweet 16 and Elite Eight matchups with one team advancing to the Final Four in San Antonio, Texas, from the Lexington Region. Tickets are on sale now through the UK Ticket Office.
