BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Kentucky women’s soccer team (7-2-0, 0-1-0 SEC) closes out its weekend tour of the state of Alabama when they take on the Alabama Crimson Tide (6-2-0, 1-0-0) in Tuscaloosa on Sunday.
The Wildcats suffered a 4-1 loss in their SEC opener to Auburn on Friday night. UK avoided a shutout on Danielle Krohn’s first career goal late in the game.
The Tide won its conference opener, with a 2-0 win over Vanderbilt.
Kentucky leads the all-time series with Alabama 9-4-1, including a 3-1 over the Crimson Tide last season in Lexington. The Wildcats, however, have not won in Tuscaloosa since a 4-1 win in the 2003 season.
After dropping a 2-1 match at Dayton and the 4-1 game to Auburn, UK looks to avoid its first three-game losing streak since dropping their last three in the 2009 season.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. EST. Live stats will be available at UKAthletics.com.
