COLUMBUS, Ohio – Behind a balanced team effort in air rifle and solid outings in smallbore from Emily Holsopple and Henri Junghänel, the No. 1 Kentucky rifle team posted a 4664 overall scored for wins over host No. 13 Ohio State (4603) and No. 15 Murray State (4597), on Saturday at the Converse Center.

Kentucky (5-0, 3-0 Great American Rifle Conference) was led in air rifle by a balanced effort, with Henri Junghanel leading the club with a 593. Stacy Wheatley charted a 589 in air rifle, with Ethan Settlemires and Holsopple each shooting a 588. Katie Fretts finished with a 580 in air gun to round on the starting lineup, while Heather Greathouse fired a 581 on the second-team.

In smallbore, Holsopple and Junghänel paced the way with a team-leading 585.

The Wildcats entered the dual match coming off a record-setting performance in a win over Memphis. UK set a new NCAA record with a 4711 team score in the win, eclipsing its own record set in the 2010-11 NCAA Championships.

Kentucky will close out the fall season with two matches on the road in Fairbanks, Alaska, facing Air Force on Saturday, Nov. 19 and Alaska-Fairbanks on Sunday, Nov. 20.
