Team game notes
- The Wildcats used the starting combination of Terrence Jones, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Doron Lamb, Marquis Teague and Anthony Davis for the first time this season.
- After starting three freshmen in the season opener for the time in program history, UK again started three freshmen.
- Darius Miller was the first sub off the bench for the first time this season.
- Kentucky extended its streak of games with a 3-pointer to 789 games, the third-longest streak in the country.
- After trailing 10-3, Kentucky went on an 8-0 run to take an 11-10 lead keyed by a four-point trip down the floor when Doron Lamb made a pair of free throws followed by a jumper. Kansas was whistled for a flagrant foul and resulting in the Lamb free throws and ensuing UK possession.
- The game was tied 28-28 at the half, the first time this season, including both exhibition games, the Wildcats were tied at halftime. Last season, Kentucky was 25-2 when leading or tied at the half.
- Kentucky came out of the locker room and went on a 26-9 run to open up a 17-point lead.
- The NY/NJ combo of Doron Lamb and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had a successful homecoming tallied 29 points, 13 rebounds and dished out five assists.
- For the second-straight game, Kentucky had five players score in double-figures.
- For the second-straight game, UK blocked double-figure shots, finishing with 13.
- The Wildcats turned the ball over 19 times, the most since 24 turnovers against Morehead State at the beginning of the 2009-10 season.

- Dished out team-high four assists.
#3 Terrence Jones
- Has hit a 3-pointer in both games this season.
- Scored in double-figures for first time this season.
- Finished with three blocks, the most since tallying three against Florida in the 2011 SEC Tournament championship.
#14 Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
- Recorded his first career 3-pointer.
- Logged his first career double-figure scoring game.
- Was one rebound shy of his first career double-double.
- Dished out team-high four assists.
#20 Doron Lamb
- Hit multiple 3-pointers for the second time this season and the 27th time in his career. Going back to the end of last season, Lamb has hit multiple 3s in five straight games.
- 17 points was the most since scoring 19 against Ole Miss in the 2011 SEC Tournament.
#23 Anthony Davis
- Attempted his first career 3-pointer.
- After recording eight dunks out of 10 made field goals in the season-opener, Davis posted five dunks out of six made field goals.
- Has scored in double-figures in both games this season.
- Blocked a career-high seven shots.
#25 Marquis Teague
- Connected on his first career 3-pointer.
- Has scored in double-figures in both games this season.
