Lexington, Ky. – Fresh off of a successful trip to Hawaii, the University of Kentucky women’s tennis team will open regular season play against Marshall University on Friday at noon ET. The Wildcats will host the 54th-ranked team in the Hilary J. Boone Varsity Tennis Complex.

In their first home match of the season, the Cats will be tested against a strong opponent. Most notably, Marshall’s doubles team of Dominika Zaprazna and Maria Voscekova are ranked No. 35, just one spot behind Jessica Stiles and Khristina Blajkevitch.

Kentucky has an 11-2 record all-times series record against the Herd and looks to grab another win tomorrow.

The Wildcats are coming off of a strong performance at the Rainbow Wahine Spring Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii. They faced Kansas, Washington State and Hawaii, and ended the tournament on a high note. They won seven of their nine matches on that last day, and will look to continue their success as they face Marshall.
