Kentucky-Ole Miss Postgame Notes

Kentucky is 26-1 overall and has won 18 in a row.
UK is 12-0 in the Southeastern Conference and the Wildcats are off to their best start in SEC play since the 2003 team swept the league schedule.
Kentucky clinched a first-round bye in the upcoming SEC Tournament.
Ole Miss is 15-11 overall, 5-7 in the SEC.
Kentucky leads the series 99-13, including 50-2 in Lexington.

Kentucky goes on the road Tuesday at Mississippi State. Game time is 9 p.m. EST (8 p.m. CST in Starkville) and the game will be televised on ESPN.

Kentucky started with the lineup of Marquis Teague, Doron Lamb, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Terrence Jones and Anthony Davis for the sixth-straight game. UK is 16-1 when starting this lineup.
Kentucky jumped out to a 16-5 lead and the Wildcats were still ahead 24-15 when Ole Miss went on a 9-0 run to tie the game at 24.
It was tied at 34 with 2:27 to go when UK hit three consecutive threes, two by Miller and one by Lamb, for a 43-34 lead. Ole Miss made a free throw to make the halftime score 43-35.
Ironically, UK’s two reserves, Darius Miller and Kyle Wiltjer, each came off the bench to lead the Cats with 10 points apiece in the first half.

Ole Miss got the first four points of the second half to pull within 43-39 but after that it was all Wildcats.
UK pulled away steadily and led by as many as 23 points at 75-52.

Kentucky is allowing 53.3 points per game over the last seven games.
UK blocked six shots today. The Wildcats lead the nation in blocked shots with 9.3 per game.

Terrence Jones notched 15 points and 11 rebounds, his first double-double of the season.
