LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky freshman Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and senior Darius Miller will both be featured in a one-hour television special, “Dunks of the Year”, scheduled to air at 11:00 p.m. on Monday, March 26 on ESPN2.
The program will feature in-depth looks at some of college basketball’s best rim-rocking slams from the 2011-12 season, as voted on by Facebook fans. The winner of the Dunks of the Year competition, as voted on by Facebook fans, will be revealed in the program.
The show will feature Miller, who threw down an electrifying alley-oop against St. Johns on Dec. 1, and Kidd-Gilchrist, who posterized a defender in Kentucky’s Nov. 26 victory over Portland. Other dunkers featured in the program include Campbell’s Eric Griffin, Indiana’s Victor Oladipo, Memphis’ D.J. Stephens, Washington’s Tony Wroten, Wyoming’s Larry Nance Jr. and Xavier’s Dez Wells.
