LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky volleyball team will host Texas A&M on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET in UK’s annual “Dig Pink Match” to help raise awareness for breast cancer. UK and the Aggies met in a five-set thriller earlier this season in College Station, Texas, in which Kentucky prevailed to snap Texas A&M’s nine-match winning streak.

Kentucky enters the contest with an 11-7 overall record and a 5-3 mark in Southeastern Conference action. Texas A&M currently leads the Western Division with a 7-1 league mark and a 15-2 overall record.

UK is fresh off a 3-0 sweep of Mississippi State on Friday night. UK dominated the Bulldogs at Rupp Arena in UK’s first-ever match in the historic venue. It also marked the fourth consecutive season in which the Wildcats captured a sweep of the Bulldogs when the match is played in Lexington.

The Wildcats return to their normal arena in Memorial Coliseum where UK is 5-1 this season and an impressive 96-22 in eight years under Craig Skinner. The Aggies are currently 5-0 on the road this year included a five-set win at Arkansas on Friday night.

In the last matchup, sophomore Whitney Billings and senior Ashley Frazier led the way for the Cats with 16 kills each, while A&M countered with Alisia Katsmo and Tori Mellinger with 19 and 18 kills respectively. Katsmo (3.55) and Mellinger (3.02) lead the Aggies offensively this season in kills per set.

Defensively, libero Megan Pendergast has tallied 204 digs on the season(3.92 Digs/Set) while Lindsey Miller has 57 blocks on the season to lead the defense for Texas A&M.
