No. 3 Kentucky Volleyball Hosts LSU in Memorial Coliseum

by Chris Shoals

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 3 Kentucky Volleyball team is anxious to get back to action, as it will host the LSU Tigers on Friday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. ET inside Memorial Coliseum for a two-match Southeastern Conference series.

Both matches will be shown on the SEC Network+, ESPN3 and the ESPN app with Dick Gabriel and Kathy DeBoer on the call from Lexington.

Tickets are still available at UKathletics.com/tickets for both matches on the weekend. As consistent with public health guidelines, new gameday policies have been put in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 at UK Athletics home events. All fans are asked to wear masks at all times unless actively eating or drinking, there are space limitations and all seating pods are socially distanced.

Additionally, all tickets this season are mobile tickets, and can be accessed on fans’ MyUK Account on your smartphone. UK event staff will scan tickets on Wildcat fans phones as contactless entry is important to the safety of UK fans.

Parking around Memorial Coliseum is free and open to the public beginning two hours prior to match time. The gates to Memorial Coliseum will open to the public at 6 p.m. ET on both Friday and Saturday.

Kentucky will be coming off of a two-week layoff due to COVID-19 protocols within its opponents programs, as the last two series for UK have been postponed. The Wildcats last took the court against Georgia in Athens in early February, and will be playing its first home matches since the final weekend of October in the fall season.

UK is 12-0 on the season, with a perfect start still intact. The Wildcats have a two-match lead on Florida in the SEC standings and remain the only undefeated team in the SEC to this point. LSU is 5-9 on the 2020-21 overlap season and is coming off of a series split with the Ole Miss Rebels last weekend.
